About MicroVeda

Centre of Biotechnology

Where Microbial Science Meets Sustainable Innovation.

Who We Are

Microवेदा is a research-driven biotechnology laboratory dedicated to harnessing microbial, algal, and fungal systems for sustainable environmental and industrial solutions.

Led by Professor Shanthy Sundaram, the lab integrates fundamental science with translational innovation in areas including bioremediation, green nanotechnology, soil health enhancement, extremophiles, and waste-to-wealth technologies.

Rooted in scientific rigor and inspired by the philosophy of “वेदा” (knowledge), Microवेदा aims to advance eco-friendly biotechnology that addresses global environmental challenges while training the next generation of scientific leaders.
